Week 69: Phoenix: clasped in the arms of Jesus🌼
otra bella semana aqui en downtown phoenix:)
on monday we got to pick up hermanita godoy which was so happy because i missed her literally so much. at night we had an inconvenient t-bone incident. we are all okay!! it was literally a teeny tiny fiat that hit us hahah and it wasn't even going that fast. Heavenly Father most definitely protected us
tuesday morning i received news that my sweet abo completed his mortal life. i have to admit this was really unexpected since he was sick for just a couple of weeks and we did not expect him to digress so much. Heavenly Father was looking out for me though because guess which lesson we taught the most on tuesday? the plan of salvation. it was so special to be able to testify to so many people of the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ and how because of Him death is not the end!! i am so grateful for covenants that bind us to Christ and to our families!! i know they are real!! i know without a doubt i will see abo again.
i am so grateful for the people we are teaching right now. they are all so, so, so wonderful. i literally love them with my entire heart.
we picked a door with some knives and explored the lighthouse at the top of the church hehehe
please pray for lilia!! she wants to get baptized so bad but is scared to ask her parents for permission. the spirit we felt with her was so sweet as we taught the atonement of Jesus Christ and explained how INFINTE and INCLUSIVE it is! she was sososososo happy!! teaching people about the being who loves them and cares about them and knows them and worries about them more than anyone else is just the best!!
biggest miracle of the week was definitely church yesterday. there were 20 nonmembers at church yesterday. 20. fue un milagro it was so so so happy!!
hahahah a pretty major update is that the arizona scottsdale mission is getting disolved and i am officially in the arizona PHOENIX mission kinda crazy no? new mission president and everything! it was expected but also unexpected, it was sad to have to say bye to president and sister smith because they have been my mission leaders my whole mission:(
invitation: think of someone you appreciate and send them a text or write them a nice note. right now:)
love,
hermana zayas
