Week 74: Phoenix/Home: final email- choose Him, He has already chosen you(:

 dearest friends,

thursday evening i was released from serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

my heart is brim with joy & gratitude for the sacred privilege to wear my Savior's name over my heart for the past year and a half. i testify that He lives!! i know He does!! i bear witness of His divinity. i have seen Him perform miracles. i have seen him change hearts. i have tasted of His goodness, and I know & can promise you that He is the only way to lasting joy & peace in this life and eternal life in the life to come. He is good. always. He invites each of His to partake of His daily bread & living water, that which perisheth not & leaves our souls feeling whole.

i know that although He has the power to deliver us from any trial or hardship at any given moment, sometimes He doesn't. and when He doesn't, it is all for our eternal good, for He knows all things from the beginning. yet i know that even in the middle of seemingly insurmountable trials, as we make Him the focus of our lives we find rest and joy.

i know that His atoning sacrifice was and is for everyone. that when He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the Cross at Calvary, he did not suffer or pay for the sins of 50% or even 99% of us. He paid it in full, and He invites you to choose to come unto Him every single day. and on the days, weeks, or even years when we fall short and forget to choose Him, His invitation remains the same. choose Him, and you will find your cup running over with gratitude for the forgiveness and mercy He offers in abundance.

the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Jesus Christ’s new testament church restored on the Earth today. i know it was restored by the prophet joseph smith, and the reason i know is because i have read the book of mormon and received undeniable confirmations that the book is true. every page points us to our Savior, i know it was written as a guide for us today. oh its just the best book ever guys:)

if anyone who reads this wonders if they should prepare to serve a proselyting, service, or senior mission, the answer is yes. this is the Lord’s work, and although He is perfectly capable of doing it all of His own, He invites us all to participate so we may taste a portion of the joy He lives.

i cannot thank you enough for the love and kindness and words of support and encouragement i have received from you these past 18 months. you are all angels in my life and some of my most precious friends.

one last invitation. this one comes from moroni 10:32

32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

come unto Christ. let Him heal you. let Him change you. it is what He is best at.
