Hermana Kayla Zayas' Missionary Experiences in Arizona Scottsdale Mission: 2022-2023

 hellooooo  happy halloweeeeeen this week in a nutshell: obedience brings blessings, exact obedience brings miracles.  this might be a bit chaotic sorry:) • zone conference happened! & i got to see my besties!  • we helped siegren move which was actually soooo fun we have gotten so good and so efficient at moving people. • saw some pretty az sunsets:) • our lesson w sara was just one of my favorites. she has such an open and believing heart. we just started teaching her and she already loves the book of mormon (especially the videos). this week we taught the plan of salvation & asked her to pray about our message. she was like um pero i already believe? we were like YAY but please still pray because we want you to have your own spiritual experiences. she is just so good. so good. • i tried cane's for the first time. lol • dressed up as mirabel from encanto for the ward trunk or treatt • had a very tender experience meeting with elder shumway of the 70. he cam...

  hi there! :) how is it already monday? again? well let's get right into it shall we?! • siegren is progressing!!! she <3s the book of mormon, has an open heart, and really wants to know this is true.  • we were able to meet with valentine & got to teach her how to pray!! she is literally so cool, she is fluent in portuguese, english, and spanish, so i got to practice some portugese heheh.  • hna brandt made some bomb 3 ingredient cookies: banana, oatmeal, and chocolate chips. kind of addictive  • following the Spirit is so cool. we were trying to make contact with a member but they weren't home, so we were leaving the neighborhood sitting at a light when hna brandt goes  "superrr apologetic but we need to turn around and go talk to someone." so we literally make a u turn at this tiny intersection and i dont make it all the way so hna brandt has to run out of the car & back me meanwhile there are cops just observing us from afar it was actually hilar...

 wowowow how is it already monday?!! this week was literally so awesome!! hna brandt is my new companion, she is literally the best! we work hard & have a lot of fun <3 it doesnt even feel like i am greenie breaking her! highlights: * our lesson with Gloria and her girls was sooo good! we are realizing that Gloria is not actually super interested BUT her daughters are!! like they participate in lessons and have been coming to mutual consistently AND came to church for the first time yesterday :)))) * on Friday we got to leave the mission and go to the mesa temple visitor's center for a pass off lesson with the mesa sisters, bret, and one of our members. the Spirit was soooo strong literally felt like I was in heaven. we invited him to be baptized and he said yes! november 12th! sooo excitingggg * before our lesson with bret we walked around the mesa temple for a bit since we dont really get to go to the temple. it was so special though because even though we w...

 hola hola mis queridos <3 wow. ha sido una semana de milagros. so many. first things first, transfer news came out & i am staying in north scottsdale w/ via linda & chaparral! my new compañera will be hna brandt :) • siegren!!!!! she was a referral from a missionary who served here during covid. she was so excited to meet with us, loves the book of mormon, & is going to start attending institute on tuesdays!!! she is just a ray of sunshine 💛 • our lesson with brisa this week was the best, in the past month and a half she has literally progressed so much. we gave a soft baptism invitation & she said yes, she just wants to keep learning more! • brisa's daughter samantha texted us wednesday asking if we could help her out with a religion assignment so we got to eat ice cream & tour the church & sing hymns with her!! • on saturday there was a valley-wide hispanic cultural celebration & all the spanish speaking missionaries were invited!! ...

 oh hey there! this is going to be short, lol. i cannot really remember what happened this week to be honest. it was good though!! i hope all my florida peeps are safe and sound, let me know how you are doing.  that hurricance was super fierce :'( general conference was most definitely a highlight!! if y'all havent watched president nelsons sunday morning talk, go to churchofjesuschrist.org and watch it. seriously just amazing i am so grateful for a living prophet <3  • didn't have any lessons with friends this week, pero está bien this week will be better!  • president smith called & it is looking like we are getting our english ward taken away & one of us is leaving. entonces we shall see what happens! transfer news comes out saturday!!! • got a super solid referral from someone who served in this mission a few years ago. we are meeting with her today so that's exciting!!! 😀 • jax is getting a temple!!!!! and so is huehue guatemala!!!! 🥳 ...
