Week 42: Arizona: spooky season:)🎃

happy halloweeeeeen

this week in a nutshell: obedience brings blessings, exact obedience brings miracles. 

this might be a bit chaotic sorry:)

• zone conference happened! & i got to see my besties! 

• we helped siegren move which was actually soooo fun we have gotten so good and so efficient at moving people.

• saw some pretty az sunsets:)

• our lesson w sara was just one of my favorites. she has such an open and believing heart. we just started teaching her and she already loves the book of mormon (especially the videos). this week we taught the plan of salvation & asked her to pray about our message. she was like um pero i already believe? we were like YAY but please still pray because we want you to have your own spiritual experiences. she is just so good. so good.

• i tried cane's for the first time. lol

• dressed up as mirabel from encanto for the ward trunk or treatt

• had a very tender experience meeting with elder shumway of the 70. he came to our branch sacrament meeting yesterday!

• hna brandt cortó mi pelo!

• MEGA MIRACLE. we were eating dinner at a park when hna brandt realizes her phone is about to die (this is a problem because we were far from home & her phone has the sim card). so i was like no problemmm ill just put the sim in my phone. so i take out my earring & try to open the sim tray and it doesn't open. kinda sad. so we are like ok we need to find someone in this park with an earring. we walk over to a woman on a bench and super awkwardly ask if she has an earring we can use. THE WOMAN DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH SHE SPEAKS SPANISH . friends this is a miracle because there are almost zero Hispanics in north scottsdale & its so hard to find them. so we are going to try to get them to English class this week eek so exciting. and yes she had an earring so we got the sim situation sorted out too:)

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
