Hermana Kayla Zayas' Missionary Experiences in Arizona Scottsdale Mission: 2022-2023

  hola mis queridos:) wow ya es tiempo otra vez??! here are the highlights: • transfer news came out and i will be staying in monterey & getting a new compañera, hna spencer! really excited to be able to focus all my energies & attention on just my area now!! • sad: mis roomies are getting switched to another apartment😭 our trio has gotten so tight during these last 3 weeks it is going to be tough to see them go they are literally my best friends. pero está bien there is probably a reason for all the changes, the Lord is control • we met with damaris for the first time in like 2 weeks. i cant even explain how grateful i am to know her. seeing her change after her baptism has been so humbling. she is actually a different person. she gave the closing prayer at the end of the lesson & offered the most simple yet earnest and heartfelt prayer. my heart was so touched i cant even explain in. this is real guys.   feliz lunes mis amores!! oh i just love my mission. the weeks just go by too fast and that makes me sad. pero esta bien!! we are just going to love every moment!! this week has just been THE BEST. i am still trio-ing with sister rose and sister bolton, who are honestly now hermana rosa y hermana bolton because they are KILLING IT with their spanish it has been so beautiful to watch:) having to suddenly add an english area has not been the easiest but it has been exactly what i needed. i am so grateful for my two companions, i have heard so many stories of trios who do not get along and how hard it is but honestly it has been like heaven we all get along SO GOOD. we got bashed this week for 2.5 hours at a lunch lesson. luckily there was a member with us. but uh at least we got free lunch:) but the spirit was just so strong in all the other lessons we had this week. the highlight was definitely yesterday's lesson with marcelo. we were outside teaching him about prophets when his fr...

  wow ya es lunes otra vez?! esta semana fue tan y tan divertido pero tambien muy stressful. my sweet compañera had to go home (she is doing good dont worry) but it left me trio-ing w 2 companionships. 4 companions & 3 areas was a lot for me lol so these last 2 weeks of the transfer i am going to trio w just my roomies its gonna be great:) pday is about to end so i will make this short. this is a quote that really really has helped me these past few weeks: "I am learning that Heavenly Father is more interested in my growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ than He is with my comfort...Living in convenience does not bring power. The power we need to withstand the heat of our day is the Lord’s power, and His power flows through our covenants with Him." living in convenience does not bring power my friends. i invite you to pray for eyes to see your trials as heaven sees them this week💓 love you all! hna zayas
