Week 62: Phoenix: Take me to the canal(:)

wow ya es tiempo otra vez??! here are the highlights:

• transfer news came out and i will be staying in monterey & getting a new compañera, hna spencer! really excited to be able to focus all my energies & attention on just my area now!!

• sad: mis roomies are getting switched to another apartment😭 our trio has gotten so tight during these last 3 weeks it is going to be tough to see them go they are literally my best friends. pero está bien there is probably a reason for all the changes, the Lord is control

• we met with damaris for the first time in like 2 weeks. i cant even explain how grateful i am to know her. seeing her change after her baptism has been so humbling. she is actually a different person. she gave the closing prayer at the end of the lesson & offered the most simple yet earnest and heartfelt prayer. my heart was so touched i cant even explain in. this is real guys. Jesus Christ lives in this very moment and He changes us if we let Him.

• i went on an exchange with hermana jenson, one of absolute favorite human beings. i feel so lucky because even after serving as companions we have served around each other pretty much my entire mission!! she goes home on wednesday i dont know what im going to do without herrrr

this week's favorite scripture:

"For he will fulfil all his promises which he shall make unto you, for he has fulfilled his promises which he has made unto our fathers." -alma 37:17

there is so much uncertainty in this world. so many different voices and influences competing for our attention. in this whirlwind of confusion i find so much peace knowing Jesus Christ is constant. He is endless. He is unchanging. He cannot lie, all of the promises He extends to us will always be fulfilled. this transfer has been a transfer full of uncertainty, & honestly this next coming transfer is too. yet i have full confidence in my Savior and in His ability to keep His promises. He is good, He is always so, so good. and i love Him for that.

make time for Jesus Christ this week<3 show Him you love Him.

  dearest friends, thursday evening i was released from serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. my heart is brim with joy & gratitude for the sacred privilege to wear my Savior's name over my heart for the past year and a half. i testify that He lives!! i know He does!! i bear witness of His divinity. i have seen Him perform miracles. i have seen him change hearts. i have tasted of His goodness, and I know & can promise you that He is the only way to lasting joy & peace in this life and eternal life in the life to come. Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
