Week 57: Phoenix: seek & expect miracles💫

 i never cease to be amazed by the miracles we see, literally every day, and the people God entrusts us with every single week to love, teach, & testify to. it is honestly so humbling.


highlights!!

• well this week was transfers!!!! on monday we had a new missionary stay the night with us, her name is hermana juarez and we got to take her around to our visits and lessons which was super fun:) then on tuesday we went to transfers & i got a new roommate!!! her name is sister bolton!!! she is an absolute sweetie pie we all just love her:) and then on wednesday we had to drive to the mission office and drop off sister nelson which was big big sad:( 

• well there was a big snowstorm in the mountains so the trainers who came down to the valley to pick up their new companions couldnt drive back up, so there were 6 of us in our apartment for a few days it was a party ahahah

• leila got baptized♡ & we met her nanny Alexia @ the baptism & she wants to start taking the lessons!

• got into byu!!😄😄💙💙

• district council w our new dl this week was fun, eld reinarz got a plate, poured some bbq sauce, and dunked a king chess piece into it. then he said, "what happened???" "he got lost in the sauce!!!!!" the whole dc was talking about how to get lost in the work in our areas lol

• our lesson w heron this week was incredible, enseñamos la restauración y invitamos a los alvarez. WOW the spirit was so sweet you could taste it. he definitely felt it too which is the best. and he came to church yesterday and loved it!!!:)


a few months ago i made it a goal to memorize the Living Christ. it has been such a beautiful experience, every paragraph testifies so beautifully of Jesus Christ i feel the Spirit so strong every time i study it. memorizing it has been such a huge protection for me during times when i feel scared, lonely, stressed, distracted, or sad. so i invite YOU to memorize a verse of scripture, a hymn, something that you can have in your mind when hard times come.

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
