Week 56: Phoenix: darling, you belong!🌼

 oh what a wonderful week



• hna godoy was sicky for a few days, so to keep me from going cray cray for staying home all day we did some mini exchanges with the roommates! i went to sis rose's area for a dinner appt & it was so cool because we had planned to give a certain dinner message but after talking more with him the spirit inspired sis rose to share a certain quote & we ended up having a super spiritual lesson about our divine identity & potential in the middle of a busy restuarant! guys, we can make wherever we are a holy place, no matter how chaotic everything around us is.

• only 4 men were creepy at us this week

• personal studies were what kept me going this week, like most weeks honestly hahaha. it doesn't matter how many times i read from the book of mormon, i always always always receive answers to my questions & find peace & rest. 

• damaris went into the temple for the first time on saturday, wow fue tan maravilloso. i love going to the temple with people going for the first time, it's like going in with new eyes. i have literally seen a visible difference in damaris since her baptism just last week. she GLOWS!! there is an inner confidence & peace that just radiates off of her it is so so so cool. she absolutely loved the temple!

• we were able to get lucia a bed, couch, and clothes!! she doesnt have to sleep on the floor in the cold anymore!! our ward members are so wonderful:)

• transfer news came out & hna godoy & i are both staying & are going to be stls we are so excited!!

• met heron:) the gospel is exactly what he has been searching for & he has been just loving the book of mormon because guess what guys thats one of the ways we can feel peace, not some temporary or hallow peace but peace that lasts & fills you!!

• julieta loves the restoration and said it answers her questions about why there are so many churches today. then she came to church on sunday which by the way was absolutely incredible. it was fast & testimony meeting and so many members went up and bore some of the purest, sweetest, more Christ centered testimonies i have ever ever heard. definitely one of my favorite fast and testimony meetings.

this gospel gives us V I S I O N !! it is just so perfect, pure, clear, simple. invite this week is to read this talkkk:

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
