Week 55: Phoenix: :)happiness:)

 oh hi!!


happy monday my lovelies!!


• on tuesday we had exchanges & i spent the day with hermana spears!! oh how i love her she is wonderful. she is learning Spanish & so it was so special to teach with her because even though her spanish is limited her testimony is so deep that the spirit makes up the difference. it was such a tender reminder that nothing i say matters unless the spirit is working through me!!

• someone fed us salmon & vegetables for dinner this week🤩🤩 as much as i love eating rice, beans, meat, & tortillas every day i wont lie we were pretty excited hahaha

• oh my goodness we had the most tender lesson with keily this week. we invited her to pray so she can know for herself this is true, & she was SO EXCITED TO TELL US THAT SHE GOT AN ANSWER. it was so cute because she was telling us that she was praying with as much faith as she could muster to know if this was true, and that she heard the softest whisper that said "si, es verdad", and that she was filled with so much joy and peace and while she was telling us about it she was full on grinning oh my goodness it was so incredibly precious. i am so grateful that Heavenly Father has been answering our friend's prayers it fills my heart with so much joy

• we had stake conference! it was all incredible, the youth gave wonderful talks. the session on saturday was super special though because for the intermediate hymn the stake choir was going to sing but there weren't many people. so the chorister got up & invited anyone who wanted to sing to come up. hna godoy & i & a bunch of other people went up & sight read "Where Can I Turn For Peace" and it was the sweetest experience the Spirit was so strong:)

• i got to listen in on my sister kelsey's patriarchal blessing on sunday. oh it was so special & definitely gave me a much needed spiritual boost. God is real, He is good, and He knows you.

• damaris was baptized:) it was a beautiful service, so many ward members came to support her and her family came too!! she was glowing:) and next week she will get to go to the temple w the youth!! i just love being a missionary guys this work is too good 😭😭


just feel the need to say that although this week was great, i wont lie some days are hard!! most of our lessons fell through, people on the streets werent the nicest, and i was emotionally drained for a lot of it. but if there is one thing i have learned its that because there is a God, and because i am His daughter, when i feel like i can't do anymore He gives me of His strength & of His power. His power & light & strength is so real, & i definitely felt it this week and i am so grateful for that.

  dearest friends, thursday evening i was released from serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. my heart is brim with joy & gratitude for the sacred privilege to wear my Savior's name over my heart for the past year and a half. i testify that He lives!! i know He does!! i bear witness of His divinity. i have seen Him perform miracles. i have seen him change hearts. i have tasted of His goodness, and I know & can promise you that He is the only way to lasting joy & peace in this life and eternal life in the life to come. Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
