Week 54: Phoenix: miracle mangos🥭

 buenoooo

• we had interviews this week!! we are pretty pretty sure hna goody & i are both staying so thats a relief:)

• damaris passed her baptismal interview yesterday and will be baptized next sunday!! she is just so excited it is quite precious:') this week was so cool because in our lessons w her we got to hear her testify of what she knows is true & to hear her share that was so touching. please pray for her! she is only 13 & although her mom supports her getting baptized her siblings aren't the best:(

• our lesson w soledad this week was so cool!! we taught the plan of salvation & invited her to pray about it, but she was like i literally already prayed about this & i know its all true. i just love her. she moves to mexico in about a week and a half so we are hoping as soon as she gets there she can get married & then baptized!!

• remember keily? the one whose grandma said to give us the book of mormon back? well we found out that she has been talking to her mom about the messages we share w her and her mom might be interested so we are going to try to start teaching her too!!

• we are teaching leila!! she is a 7 yr old preparing for baptism & her parents asked us to teach her the lessons before her baptism in February. teaching kids is so fun!!!

• saturday was tough!! first we had to stop teaching one of our nonprogressing friends. then we were frustrated with some members and a few other missionaries. we drove to our appointment and before praying & getting out of the car we screamed at the top of our lungs:) then our appointment fell through. then this is where the miracle happens. we saw a man driving around in a golf cart selling fruit and chips. went up to talk to him, bought 2 mangos, & started talking to him. he wants to have a relationship w God! talked w him for a bit & we'll hopefully get to meet again! miraclesss

• was walking through a neighborhood & felt the need to shout at someone at the end of the road & ask if we can share a message from Jesus with him. he said no, so we got in our car & did some phone calls before our next appt. then this guy (who watched the whole thing happen) pulls up to our car in his truck & starts asking us all these questions about what we do & we set up a time to meet! we met 2 days later and THIS MAN IS SO GOLDEN. he asked the qualifications of baptism, the nature of the Godhead, how the book of mormon came to be, so so so many questions & just absorbing everything we were teaching him it was simply amazing. one of my favorite lessons:)

this week was a bit harder, just felt mentally & emotionally exhausted for a lot of it. throughout my mission i have come to treasure & crave assurances that i am pleasing my Father in Heaven. there is literally nothing else i love more. and so it was hard because i couldnt really feel those assurances as much these past few weeks, not that He wasn't giving them just that i probably wasnt in tune to receive them. this morning during personal study i opened up to alma 26:5&7. it was honestlyyy an answer to prayers. God's answers & timing are not always what we want but it is always, always, always what we need.

thank you for your emails and prayers💛

con mucho amor
