Week 53: Phoenix: como se dice m-i-l-a-g-r-o-s?!

 wow okay this is just going to be miracles:


• we set up a member lesson last monday & we show up & the member BRINGS A FRIEND & so we are now teaching erick!!

• we got a media referral for a woman named soledad & we met w her and she actually just moved from mexico & was meeting w missionaries over there and she wants to be baptized but needs to get married first so we are going to start teaching her & hopefully put her on date so that when she goes back to mexico she can just get married & then get baptized:)

• while we were looking for soledad we found keily!! we asked if we could share a message w her and she was like sure!! she is 13 but oh so smart oh my goodness. we read from the book of mormon w her & she just ate it alllll up & so we left her with a book of mormon!! and then 2 days later we met w her again & she was so sad to tell us but her grandma said she had to give the book back:( and so we are going to keep meeting w her she just cant have the book. we taught her the Restoration though and she just LOVED IT so we gave her a pamphlet to take home instead:)

• our members are just incredible!! we have such tender lessons w them, they come to lessons w us, and they give our friends rides to church. i just love them.

• we had an incredible lesson con Damaris!! she wants to be baptized on february 4th!!!!! she is just sooop excited and even more excited to go to the temple🥳🥳🥳

• we went to cafe rio today & the worker asked us for 2 copies of the book of mormon & she lives in our area:)))))

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
