Week 46: Arizona: gobble gobble π¦π
oh hey!! its monday again!!
how was your thanksgiving? i want to hear allll about it:)
here are the highlights!!
• well so being an stl is mucho mas stressful than we expected hahah. we are over 7 companionships of sisters so this week we spent a lot of time in meetings and coordinating exchanges, call-ins, and comp studies for the new missionaries. it has been an adjustment but also really fun because i am getting to know all the sisters!
• we had a super good lesson con sara & she is praying for a date to be baptized!! we are also going to try to go see the mesa temple lights with her soon so that'll be fun!!
• hna brandt is trying to learn how to thread eyebrows so she has been practicing on me heheh
• MICHELLE CAME TO CHURCH!! and loved it!! we were even able to have a super good lesson with her and the kimballs afterwards, milagrosss
• bret told us that meeting with us has actually made him a stronger catholic. we were a bit thrown off hahah but came to the conclusion that if meeting with us has at least brought him closer to Jesus Christ then that's a success. his time will come:)
• on thanksgiving hermana brandt and i went on a 6 mile run and WOW it felt so good i hadn't been on a run that far since leaving home. and then we had 2 dinners and they were so tasty but wow we ate wayyy too much hahah
• kind of random but do you watch the bachelor? because arie came to our sacrament meeting with his family yesterday, kind of crazy
• went on an exchange with sister garcia!! we spent the day together in my area.she arrived to the mission on monday and is adjusting so so well. she is just a ray of sunshine and has contagious greenie fire so that exchange was so good for me
• MARIA DEL MAR CAME TO ENGLISH CLASS & really loved it:) anddd we have a lesson set up with her today i am literally so so so excited
here's a quote that has really gotten me through this week:
"...you are a beloved daughter. Nothing you do—or do not do—can change that. God loves you because you are His spirit daughter. Sometimes we may not feel His love, but it is always there. God’s love is perfect. Our ability to sense that love is not." dale g renlund
this means so much to me. there are days i am just so exhausted or feeling inadequate and discouraged, and i just am not feeling like God is aware of me. but the fact of the matter is that He is, always, even if i can't feel Him near. if you are struggling to feel God's love, i invite you to pray more earnestly and study & ponder the scriptures more diligently.
Jesus Christ lives and His gospel has been restored. if you want to deepen your relationship with Him or have questions about what that means, please always feel free to message me.
all my love,
hna zayas
