Week 44: Arizona: you are loved ⚘!!

 hola mis queridos!!

wowww we are at the end of the transfer again!! transfer news comes out this saturday eeeeeek

• we were finally able to meet con brisa!! we taught the law of chastity which went super well!!

• we passed siegren off to the mountain view sisters, honestly it was un poco sad but she is going to just blossom & continue to progress which we are so excited for:)

• accidentally hit 10 months?!?!?!?!?

• we helped a member organize her apartment this week. it was so so sooo funny because people here are literally so rich that if they don't need something they will just throw it away. she asked us to throw a brand new tv & vacuum in the dumpster but hna brandt & i sneeked it to our car and found homes for them haha.

• the sunsets this week were simply incredible 

• hna brandt & i found out our roof is stable enough to hang out on. so for personal & comp study we just climb out of our window & study on the roof:)


i was reading in the book of mormon this week & was touched by this scripture:

21 And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: How comest thou hither to plant this tree, or this branch of the tree? For behold, it was the poorest spot in all the land of thy vineyard.
22 And the Lord of the vineyard said unto him: Counsel me not; I knew that it was a poor spot of ground; wherefore, I said unto thee, I have nourished it this long time, and thou beholdest that it hath brought forth much fruit

sometimes we may feel like this tree, we may look at our lives and wonder why we have been planted in such a poor spot, or become discouraged by trials we feel we don't deserve. we can be assured that Jesus Christ is the master gardner, & that all that happens to us in this life can be for our eternal good if we accept our trials in humility & rely on His grace<3

Jesus Christ lives for you!! His joy, His peace, & His rest are sweeter, deeper, & more enduring than anything the world can offer us. 

you are loved.

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha. Once we landed in the Dallas Airport we had to go to recheck our luggage. One of my pieces of luggage was not zipped (it looked like som...
