Week 37: Arizona: i scream for ice cream 🍦

 helloooo my dearies!!

beautiful beautiful week. like pretty much most weeks.

before we get into the week, i have a very important announcement:

GENERAL CONFERENCE IS THIS WEEKEND!! SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!! it is going to be amazing. make a list of all the questions or concerns you have and listen to them all get answered while you listen :)

9am (AZ time) saturday and sunday
1pm (AZ time) saturday and sunday
5pm (AZ time) saturday only

* we almost bought a beta fish. but then we didn't. because we are broke missionaries & didn't realize how experience it is to raise a fish

* have you ever eaten a banana topped with condensed milk and whipped cream?! you must

* taught brisa the plan of salvation & she loved it <3 i just love teaching so much i wish that was all we did ughhh. teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ literally brings me the greatest and deepest joy i have ever experienced. that is one of many things i can thank my mission for: helping me increase my capacity to feel the spirit and feel true joy. its not like i never felt the spirit before my mission, i most definitely did, but now i can feel it more abundantly. oh and she has also started praying more consistently now and says she feels a peaceful feeling in her heart <3

* genesis & alison went to mutual!!!

* we had interviews!!! and got some major leaks!!! hopefully i will be here for at least 6 more months :)

* it has been one year since i opened my mission call ahhhhhhhhhhhh

* super good lesson con cristina y rogelio. baptism came up, as it always does with rogelio, and he said that one of these days he is going to just jump in the water. we asked him what was keeping him and he said he wants to have spiritual experiences for himself. so our focus with him is going to be book of mormon reading and prayers whoop whoop

* hna horton and i discovered saturday is our least favorite day of the week. it is just so hard to get motivated. so we made a game to play while making phone contacts. for every attempted contact we ate 1 spoon of ice cream, and for every successful attempt we ate 2 spoons :) we liked this game a lot.

* the elders had baptisms yesterday for 3 youth: elder (yes that is his name), michael, and michelle! they were glowing it was so amazing and the spirit was so strong oh my heck. via linda is growingg it wont be long until it becomes a ward!!

"The Savior’s mortal ministry was indeed characterized by love, compassion, and empathy. He did not disdainfully walk the dusty roads of Galilee and Judea, flinching at the sight of sinners. He did not dodge them in abject horror. No, He ate with them. He helped and blessed, lifted and edified, and replaced fear and despair with hope and joy. Like the true shepherd He is, He seeks us and finds us to offer relief and hope. Understanding His compassion and love helps us exercise faith in Him—to repent and be healed."

let's be more like Jesus this week!!

con mucho amor,
