Week 35: Arizona: would you like some banana w that peanut butter? 👀
hello there beautiful people!!
pretty normal week with the usual ups & downs!
*
we studied the Book of Mormon with Brsia this week looking for the
Character of Christ. teaching someone with no religious background has
been such a special experience because we are literally introducing her
to Jesus Christ which is so amazing. she told us she wants us to start
meeting with her daughter too so YAY!
* THERE WERE 12 PEOPLE AT ENGLISH CLASS!!
* hna horton cut my hair hehe snip snip
*
sis wilkins (one of our roommates) went to pastry school before her
mission and so she made these bomb tapioca flour sugar cookies they were
divine
* we wrote nice things on sticky notes
and stuck them on a bunch of doors on our floor! and then got yelled at
by management but its fine :)
* had SUCH a
great lesson con Anne. she has been formerly taught by missionaries and
when we stopped by a few weeks ago she said something keeps drawing her
back and she'd like to meet with us again! she is SO interested in
family history so we are going to be trying to get her ward involved
with that. its a bit tough because she doesn't live in our ward
boundaries but she requested to be taught by sisters and she is so
solid so yayayya
* hna horton & i traced one of our family tree lines back to adam and eve heheh so cool
* approaching my mid-life, kind of having a crisis
*
yesterday was MIRACULOUS. so after dinner hna horton and i were just
going to go home and do some studies. but then we both felt like we
needed to visit a certain member. so on our way to her house we see a
woman sitting on the side of the road, which is strange at 8pm in north
scottsdale. so we pull over and ask her if something's wrong and she's
very distressed because she just had an argument with her husband :( we
ended up having a great talk with her and were able to pray & read
some verses of scripture. she told us that before we walked up she had
been praying to God and was telling Him about how alone she felt. such a
blessing to have been able to minister to these sweet sister of mine.
there
is a God in heaven my friends and He is a God of miracles!! we are so
blessed to have a way to communicate with God, who is our Heavenly
Father, and this is through prayer. friends, praying with a sincere
heart and real intent brings miracles. i can promise you that. if you
don't know how to pray, message me and we can chat! if you aren't in the
habit of praying, i invite you to do make it a part of your day! and if
you are used to praying regularly, i invite you to make your prayers
more earnest and intentional this week.
you are all so wonderful, thank you for your kind emails, they make me smile :)
nos vemos la proxima semana!!
