Week 34: Arizona: hi! yes, you! you are incredible!⚘

lets start with the spiritual tings :)

just a reminder that God loves you perfectly, more than anyone else ever could. so, do something this week to show Him that you love Him <3

twas a berry berry miraculous week :) 

* had probably one of my favorite lessons ever with Gloria and her sweet girls <3 we were teaching them how to pray, and so after hermana horton and i showed them they all said a prayer and it was just so precious and the Spirit was so strong. usually visits over there are un poco chaotic but by the end of this lesson there was just this sweet Spirit in the room it was so cool

* we ran out of miles (rip) and so we had to bike for a bit on the 31st. but for some of the time we were at the church doing phone contacts. so we had our bikes with us while making contacts in the foyer, when a father walks in about to pick up his son from playing basketball. he saw our bikes and was like "i didn't know they have the sisters on bike too!!!" lol and so we got talking with him and the interaction ended with him wanting a copy of the Book of Mormon to read every day!! so miraculous!!

* hna horton and i have come to the conclusion that we are just too scary. people hide from us 🤣


* on thursday we had to stop by the church to drop something off, and when we pull up there are 2 hispanic men just standing there looking lost. keep in mind it is 3:30pm on a thursday. so we ask if we can help them with anything, and they said they heard there are english classes here but weren't sure when. SO MIRACULOUS THIS IS LITERALLY NORTH SCOTTSDALE YOU DONT JUST CROSS PATHS WITH HISPANICS LIKE THAT. so we got their numbers and gave them the info and they are sooo interested so YAY! 

* found out Don Bluth is in our ward. super awkward literally say hi to him every sunday and didn't even realize it was him

* we got roommates!! sister hayden and her trainee sister wilkins!! its been a party, none of us have been out super long so we are just trying to figure this all out heheh

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha. Once we landed in the Dallas Airport we had to go to recheck our luggage. One of my pieces of luggage was not zipped (it looked like som...
