Week 33: Arizona: 106⁰ with a wind chill🍃

 hello my dearies!!

here are these week's highlights :)

* we made some great contacts with some people who were formerly taught and who are interested in meeting with us again!! so yay!!

* we met Consuelo, who is an inactive member not interested in returning any time soon but is open to bible studying with us & English classes!

* most people were nice to us ;) like even if they weren't interested they were still pleasant and polite which was a pleasant change from last week.

* yesterday was probably the best day of the week, it was a spiritual feast. first our branch sacrament meeting was all about missionary work, which was sooo awesomeeee. and then hna horton & i were able to play a special musical number, i love playing with her! and then after church we felt prompted to stop by Ann, who has been previously taught by missionaries but for some reason they stopped going. she told us about how she went to the Mesa Temple open house and how it was the highlight of her life. yes, you read that right. she said she couldn't remember feeling more peace in her life. temples are just such sacred places i am so grateful for them. and it was sooo cool because when we got to her house she was in the middle of panicking because her computer wasn't working and so we were able to help her with that too! God is in the details, of the details, of the details.

* we got to attend the coolest stake youth devotional ever. it was a devotional calling all young women and young men to serve missions. it was just so beautiful oh my goodness the spirit was so strong. i love my mission. i love my mission. i love my mission.

in other news, this week is transfers! hna horton and i are both staying, and we are getting roomates yay!! i cannot believe we have already been here for 6 weeks, so wild. this transfer was very humbling, i have come to realize that the only way to actually navigate life successfully is to rely on the Lord. not just in the times that are hard but for literally everything.

there is a phrase i read in my personal study that i really love. in the book of mormon, when ammaron is giving the records to mormon, he tells him, "i perceive that thou art...quick to observe." that is something i want to focus extra hard on this transfer. i want to be quick to observe when someone around me needs help, quick to observe when my thoughts/words/actions drive away the Spirit, quick to observe the good in every person i come in contact with, etc etc. i invite you to think of something this week you can be more observant of :)

have a beautiful week!
