Week 27: Arizona: happy as a worm 🐛

 hola a todos!!!

I am going to be training a new missionary in Scottsdale!!! So excited to meet my trainee today :) i am finally going to be in a spanish ward, so YAY!!! it has been an interesting week, first the anticipation of transfer news and then finding out that both Hna Jenson & I are whitewash training in the valley. i have discovered my great dislike for moving, lol...

It was a good week though! We had to say goodbye to our friends which was actually so sad, but we are ready for the next adventure! Living in Pinetop Lakeside these past 6 months has been a dream. Seeing how our friends have developed a love for Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel has been such a blessing. Pinetop Lakeside will always have my hearttttt.

I can honestly say that Pinetop Lakeside is the place I got to know my Savior. He is just everything to me, I can't even put it into words. It seems surreal that I am actually a missionary, being His servant and striving to represent Him. I sometimes cannot believe this is my life, it is way too good to be true. I have been thinking a lot about John 10:10: "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." In order to actually live a fulfilling and beautiful and joyful life, you need Jesus Christ. There is literally no other way. I testify of His reality and His divinity. If you don't know Jesus Christ, don't waste another day!! You cannot even imagine the joy that comes from knowing Him and following Him!!!

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
