Week 25: Arizona: it's hard being famous💅

 happy independence day!!!!! 🍎◻🐳

really debated writing an email this ahahah. here's what happened: 

• our dear friend Jeanette passed away 😔 prayers for Cristina, Virgina, and Anthony (her family) would be greatly appreciated. it has been really really sad but I am so grateful to know that she is being taught the gospel in the Spirit World <3

• was able to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with an atheist, the spirit was so strong!

• hna jenson and i made the tastiest oatmeal peanut butter chocolate cookies. literally divineeee

• we got to help decorate a float for the Show Low 4th of July parade, and then today we were able to be apart of it!!!

• both of our friends on date (Brigitte and Elias) will not be getting baptized as planned. Brigitte has some things to work through, and Elias told us on Sunday he doesn't feel ready yet, so we will keep working with them both. really sad when you want something for someone and you know it's the best decision they could make but they don't realize it :( but HEY Brigitte made us take away her coffee so that was precious :)

If the love we feel for the Savior and what He did for us is greater than the energy we give to weaknesses, self-doubts, or bad habits, then He will help us overcome the things which cause suffering in our lives. He saves us from ourselves.
Let me reemphasize: if the pull of the world is stronger than the faith and trust we have in the Savior, then the pull of the world will prevail every time. If we choose to focus on our negative thoughts and doubt our worth instead of clinging to the Savior, it becomes more difficult to feel the impressions of the Holy Ghost.

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
