Week 24: Arizona: mucha lluvia!! 💧

 Buenos dias!!

ELIAS WANTS TO GET BAPTIZED!!! he is on date for July 13th, so exciting :) our lesson with him was so crazy because he told us he had been praying and thinking about it and he knew that God wanted him to be baptized. and then he told us that he saw us in a dream, which is the crazy part because...he is blind and has never seen us. soooo wild. anyways the ward members here are so cute, if they know spanish they will bare their testimony in spanish at the end of their talk so he can understand, it is the most tender thing in the world <3 we are going to try to do the entire baptismal service in spanish, so please pray for us that we can find enough spanish speakers in this ward.

here are some other highlights:

• we went to the rim 2 times this week: pday and weekly planning!! we literally just discovered it this week and it is only 1/2 mile from our apartment

• ronnie came to church!!!!! this was his 2nd time coming to church, in his entire life. it is so wonderful and exciting to see people progress!!!

• we taught Brigitte the law of tithing and it literally couldn't have gone better. she is excited to pay when she becomes a member, tithing is honestly such a privilege 

• BEST LESSON WITH RITA YET!!! rita is a very peppy energetic talky human, so she can get off track sometimes. but when we asked her about what she read in the Book of Mormon she went offff and talked all about Alma 32, the interpretation and everything. it was sooooo cool to see her so excited about it!!!

I am so grateful for my Savior, I am grateful that because of Him I can pray to my Heavenly Father, I can become clean from my sins, and I can be strengthened in my trials. do something this week to get to know your Savior more :)

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
