Week 12: Arizona: so we heard you wanted to hear an Easter message?!!!

 Hola hola hola!! Qué tal mis amigos?!

This week was so good!! Our friends are slowly but steadily progressing!! Here is an  update on a few of our friends :)

Brigitte: We met with Brigitte 2 times this week plus General Conference! She has changed so much in the past 8 weeks. She increasingly talks about wanting to repent and leave her past behind her. She has more of a desire to do good and to be a better person. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is so real, and it is so beautiful to see it work in her. She also watched General Conference with us and some members!! She really liked how peaceful she felt while watching and how inspiring the talks were <3

Amy: Amy is going through some temporal struggles at the moment, so please pray for her. She decided to start fasting and she has been praying a lot more which is so wonderful. She wrote down questions for General Conference and is going to be watching the sessions to see how they can be answered, she is so excited.

Camilia: We were trying to find a member and ended up knocking on the wrong house. We asked if she'd be interested in hearing an Easter message and she said yes! We found out that her boyfriend is a member and had just given her a blessing that morning because she had been having a really hard week. This was such a testimony to me of how intimately aware God is of each of us, and how He led us to one of His struggling daughter's homes in a moment she needed spiritual upliftment. She was so grateful we came by and said we could come back.

Jeff: Jeff is doing better than ever :) He is so excited to get baptized this month, he considered moving up his date but prayed about it and felt he should keep it the same. He texted us on Saturday and was like "Sisters!!! President Beeler called and asked me to speak in Stake Conference!!!" sooo he is going to speak at Stake Conference 6 days before his baptism, we are so so excited!

Ronnie: We had our first lesson with Ronnie this week!! It was so good!! He is just so prepared and so ready to let God prevail in his life. He is living proof that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is so real.

Highlights:

• We had Zone Conference in Snowflake again!! So of course we had to stop by the temple afterwards :)
• I raked rocks for the first time!! 
• We got to eat chain food: subway 😍
• Last Pday we made keychains with Sister Rowell! She has a woodburner!!
• We went to mutual and got to play in the corn hole tournament 😎

I hope you were able to watch at least one session of General Conference, and if you didn't I would invite you to do so!! This General Conference was super special to us as missionaries because it focused so so much on missionary work!! To all the youth that read this, please prepare to serve a mission. There seriously is no greater work happening on the Earth today than the gathering of Israel. I can promise you will not regret it. 

I am so grateful for modern day prophets who speak to us today. And I am SO grateful for temples and the 17 new ones that were announced!! Including TAMPA FLORIDA!! 🥳

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha. Once we landed in the Dallas Airport we had to go to recheck our luggage. One of my pieces of luggage was not zipped (it looked like som...
