Week 9: Arizona: Estaaaaa biennnn

 Hola mis queridos amigos!!!

I hope your week was nothing short of incredible. Everything is going well here in Pinetop-Lakeside, we have had some great lessons and some of our friends are really progressing!!

Friday was the last district council of the transfer! It is super crazy to think I've already been on my mission for a transfer, it literally flew by. We had a funeral potato and apple pie cook off with the Elders, so that was really fun!!

Thursday was a very interesting day. Hermana Sleight and I did an English Fast, meaning we did not speak English the whole day and we only listened to Spanish christian music. It was actually so hard hahahahah it reminded me of when I was at the MTC and almost no one knew English. It was so funny though because literally anytime anything went wrong we didn't know how to be dramatic and sad in spanish so we just kept repeating "Estaaaaaa bieeeeennnn" lololol

Transfer news came out!! Hermana Sleight and I are staying in Pinetop Lakeside!! Yay!!!! We are so excited to just hit the ground running this transfer. Yippee!!

Jeff Update:

Jeff is doing so so good. He loves reading the Book of Mormon, he has so much faith. Literally we had our 1st official lesson with him this week, and he has pretty much already read the book of Alma...captain moroni is his new hero, he wants him to be on the cover of his baptism program lolol I love him. We are meeting with him tonight and he said he was going to bring us tamales. He also brought us a snack at church on Sunday because he knows we spend like 6 hours at church on Sundays, so we are basically besties.

This scripture stood out to me this week in my personal study:

"...we glory in tribulations...knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope." Romans 5:3-4

Every hard thing we go through is meant to refine us and make us the people God intends for us to be. Yesterday in Relief Society one of the women said: "God never gives us more than we can handle with Christ's help." I know this is true, you do not need to carry your burdens on your own. Turn to Christ and He will help you.

Los amo a todos!! Go give your family and friends a hug and tell them you love them.

Happy Pi Day!!!
