Week 8: Arizona:Stop 🛑 I Wanna Talk About Milk 🥛🐄

 Hola mis amigos!!


Cómo les va? This week was incredible!! You guys probably think I'm hiding something because I feel like I say that every week but it is simply the truth. There are tough days but I seriously just love being a missionary.

We had exchanges on Thursday, Sister Smith and I spent the day in Eager!! I thought Pinetop-Lakeside was tiny, however I now know that Eager is much, much tinier hahahaha. It was like an hour drive into the middle of nowhere. We were literally 5 minutes away and all I could see was fields and cows it was so gorgeous though I loved it. Sister Smith is also from ORLANDO which is so wild, we never even met but definitely were at the same multi-stake events. We had such a fun time together we are going to beg President to make us companions. Literally whenever anyone asked us where we were from we looked at each other and went "FLORIDA!!" it was actually hilarious haha

On Saturday we went to the baptism of a woman our Zone Leaders taught!! We invited our miracle friend Jeff to come and he went!! And he loved it!! Literally at the end of it he was like "Okay let's pick a date before Sister Sleight goes home, I want her to be there" and we put him on date to be baptized April 23rd, which is 4 days before Hermana Sleight goes home!! And then later in the day we got a text from him and he told us who he wanted to baptize him and who he wanted the witnesses to be and told us people who could give talks and say prayers. He basically planned out his baptism and we have only had 1 lesson with him. So YAYYYY WE ARE SO EXCITED!! 😀😀😊😊

Some other random highlights:

• We did some Facebook finding and Hermana Sleight got proposed to LOL blocked 🚫
• Hna Sleight & I made tres leches it was scrumptious 
• We found a new person to teach!! Her name is Ronda!! She is so sweet!!
• Hna Sleight & I hit our 54 days!! She has 54 days left and I've been out for 54 days haha

I testify that Jesus Christ is our Savior. He descended below it all, there is absolutely nothing we can go through that He has not already experienced. He died for us and He lives for us. I am grateful for Him. I love Him. He is my best friend.

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
