Week 11: Arizona: It's Raining Spanish Referrals☂️

Cómo les va? I hope your week was wonderful!!

With Easter coming up we have started giving Easter messages, and we had a lesson with a family who has a young woman who wants to serve a mission. After watching the Easter video, the mom asked Hermana Sleight and I to share what our favorite parts of our mission have been. I told her I had never experienced such great joy, and then she says "That makes sense because as a missionary you are always testifying of Christ!" 🤯 my mind was blown but that is literally 100% true. There is a light and a peace that comes when we testify of Christ, even when we speak His name. So, I would invite each of you to watch this video and share it with someone you feel would benefit from an Easter Message :) 

This week literally flew by I cannot believe it. Here are the highlights: 
• We were able to have 3-4 lessons a day which was such a blessing, I love being busy.
•We got a f l o o d 🌊 of spanish referrals since Hermana Sleight and I are the only missionaries in the zone who speak spanish, so YAY!!!
• We had a great lesson with Elias, he is so humble and so teachable and really wants to learn more, we are so excited to keep teaching him. AND he came to sacrament meeting which was amazing! We literally have the best ward members, all the ones that spoke spanish were talking with him and offered to give him a ride home it was so precious.
• The weather has been so so so so sooo beautiful so we have been doing our studies in our truck bed 🤠
• We made oreo truffles and apple pie 💅
• We went to the mission call opening of three young men who decided to open it all together! Santiago Chile, Aguacalientes Mexico, Lima Peru!

Week 7: Arizona: Where did Susie's Head Go?!

  Qué tal?! This was a miracle week!!!!! As I mentioned last week, we have been struggling to find people to teach. On Saturday we got a text from one of our bishops that basically said that a man named Jeff had texted him because he has been thinking about joining the church for a while and he loves watching General Conference and he basically wants to get baptized...ISNT THAT AMAZING?!?! So Hna Sleight and I called him up and he was super excited and was like "Let's plan a time to get together tomorrow after sacrament meeting" and we were like YESSSSS. We met him yesterday and he is the absolute sweetest he is so eager to learn more and fits right in to the ward. Like literally we are having our first lesson with him tomorrow at a member's house. He has so much member support which is honestly so awesome. That was definitely the highlight of our week. Week 4: Mexico City/Arizona: Goodbye Mexico CCM ;(

  Hi there!! I am in Arizona!!! Ahhhhh today was a long day. I had to be at my bus ready to leave the MTC at 1:30am, so Hermana Gomez and I decided we just wouldn't sleep and instead did some cramping packing and had a nutella with toast party.  Saying goodbye to my district was hard, we all became such great friends, but saying goodbye to Hermana Gomez was so sad I was actually devastated. She is going to do amazing things in Mérida. Once I got to the Mexico City airport I realized there were a bunch of other missionaries too, yay!! One of the hermanas had a ukelele, so while we were waiting by the gate she started playing hymns while me and another hermana sang along. So there we were, 3 hermanas singing super loud, its 4 in the morning and everyone is half asleep... It was actually so fun even though people were given us weird looks ahaha.
