Week 31: Arizona: "that river used to be a road!"π
feliz lunes mis amores!
the weeks just fly by oh my
goodness. sometimes i just stop and think and ponder about how literally
my only purpose right now is to strengthen my relationship with my
Savior so I can help Him gather His lost sheep. literally living the
dream.
well here are some highlights!!
*
we had exchanges this week! i literally love sister marquis. she is
just so good at loving people and reminding them of their worth, and i
also learned some good street contacting skills from her which was a
blessing (you don't street contact much in the mountains lol). so sad
she is going home next transfer :(
* had
incredible lessons with Brisa, Lorenza, Ronnie, and Gloria! i think our
lesson with Brisa was one of my favorites though. it is pretty rare to
teach someone who has absolutely no religious background whatsoever, but
that is how she grew up. she is so humble and teachable and really
wants her daughters to grow up in a church. when we asked her if she had
any questions she hasn't found answers to yet, she told us she didn't
know what the purpose of life was, so we were able to share some of the
Plan of Salvation!! and then she came to church yesterday with her two
girls!! <3
* sister marquis's favorite restuarant is also cafe rio heheheh so we had to go:)
*
we had our first monsoon!! super scary!! we were driving on the freeway
when all of a sudden it was pouring rain and dust. quite the adventure,
the roads turned into rivers!! we were in desparate need of rain though
so it was definitely heaven sent.
honestly the
biggest highlight for me this week was the personal study sessions i
had. this gospel is just so, so, so perfect. i can't even adequately
articulate how blessed i feel to be a member of Christ's restored church
and to be His servant and missionary at this time. every good thing in
my life can be traced back to Jesus Christ and His wonderful church.
please
make time for the Lord this week. I testify that He is the only lasting
source of joy and peace in this life and in the life to come. He says
to you,
"I have redeemed thee, I have called
thee by thy name; thou art mine...thou (art) precious in my sight...fear
not: for I am with thee...I will make a way in the wilderness, and
rivers in the desert...I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy
transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
Isaiah 43
Jesus Christ lives. The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day is His church upon the Earth. the gospel of
Jesus Christ is the most precious knowledge i have. if you want to learn
more about Jesus Christ can change your life, please message me <3
i love you all, thank you for your prayers on my behalf. i really felt them this week <3
con mucho amor,
hna zayas
